Native to South Africa , it is an easy-to-grow drought tolerant succulent plant. Needs well-draining soil. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost to prevent possible scarring. Looks best with regular watering in hotter months. Blooms in the summer. Zone 9 Grows up to 24″ tall by 24″ wide.
Leaves: fleshy, grey-green oval that grow in whorls around a thick stem.
Flowers: Bright orange to red during the summer months, attracting birds, bees and butterflies.
