Oakland Farms Wonderful Succulent and Cacti Potting Soil Mix is an ultra fast draining potting soil formulated specifically for Succulents and Cacti.

Most Succulent and Cacti potting mixes either have too much organic material, causing it to retain too much moisture, or not enough organic material, limiting the growth rate of the plants. This potting soil blend has the perfect balance of nutrients and drainage.

Many people believe that since cacti and succulents are often found in desert environments, they only need sandy or gravely soil. This is not true. Succulents and cacti love and need a soil rich in nutrients, while maintaining good drainage. Our soil contains the micronutrients needed for heathy growth and plenty of organic substrate to hold in your fertilizer.

Overwatering is the number one cause of death for succulents and cacti. Our soil drains so well it is almost impossible to overwater (given your pot has adequate drainage holes!)

Our soil mix is made of 60% Minerals for drainage, 30% Coco Coir for the perfect water and fertilizer retention, and 10% Composted Cow Manure for micronutrients. The PH is around 6.

Each bag contains a little more than 2 dry quarts. This is enough for four 5″ nursery pots or twelve 3″ nursery pots.
