Description

The Emperor’s Meditative Hanging Gong

Inspired by the iconic instruments revered by Chinese emperors, this is the hanging gong that can be used to invoke a tone for meditation or healing. It is believed that upon hearing a gong’s tone, worries will cease and wisdom will grow. Hand-hammered from bronze by Chinese artisans, the gong is suspended by a nylon cord to optimize sonic resonance. When struck by the clapper via a gust of wind, it creates a rich 15-second long harmonic tone that can be used to signal the start of a ritual, announce a proclamation, or achieve spiritual peace and enlightenment. Gong diameter 13″. (4 1/2 lbs.)
